The ID Chair: a Vitra x Antonio Citterio collaboration
Antonio Citterio is an Italian architect and designer who lives and works in Milan. Antonio Citterio’s talent is evident in the numerous projects he has completed, such as industrial facilities, showrooms, hotels, residential and commercial complexes. However, Citterio also owes his renown to his collaborations with renowned furniture brands such as B&B Italia, Flexform, Moroso, Arclinea, Kartell, Flos, and of course Vitra.
His collaboration with Vitra began in 1988. During this period, an entire series of office chairs and systems has been created, as well as products designed for the Vitra Home collection. The Citterio collection is constantly being expanded.
During his collaboration with Vitra, Antonio Citterio recognized the need to create a unified range of versatile models. The ID Chair Concept was developed to meet the multiple functional, economic, and aesthetic requirements of companies and employees in today’s working world.
