The Coat Rack was originally developed for the Cabanon, the house that Le Corbusier built in 1951 on the French Riviera as a birthday gift for his wife, Yvonne. The Cassina re-edition reprises the 1957 model, designed for the Camping Units adjacent to the Cabanon itself. Echoing the polychromy of these minimalist spaces reminiscent of the comfort of a cruise cabin, the Coat Rack is also offered in its coloured version. The structure is made up of solid oak elements resembling mushrooms, set at different heights according to the Modulor calculation system.
